Fandom Flouce Confessions
I have a habit of doing what I call 'flouncing'. Every few months after camping out in a fandom for a while, I suddenly get the urge to go check out a different 'go to' fandom.
I realized this behavior the other day when a fav story in the Harry Potter SS/HG 'ship updated. I've been waiting years for an update, and it finally became active again. I pulled a 'OH sh!t!! I gotta go, sorry Twiverse!!' and camped out in the other fandom for a solid week.
...and now I'm back, and MotU, UoEM, River Dam, and a whole bunch of other have updated, and I'm happy as a clam.
I think having other fandoms to fall into occasionally is a good thing. It keeps the 'magic' of what attracts me to a particular fandom and pairing fresh, and I fall in love with it all over again when I return.
My Question to you:
What is YOUR flounce fandom and why? Does it made you appreciate your other fandoms better?
